Baldwin Model R rebuild
Mar 11, 2008
The original Baldwin Piano Company made some of the finest pianos in the world. The piano pictured spent the better part of it’s life at the Elks Club in Everett. Jack Walkley (founder of Cobra Construction), and high school friend of John Pedigo, purchased the Baldwin grand from the Elks Club. Structurally, the piano was in sound condition and a worthy candidate for a complete rebuild. Jack gave us a go-ahead on the rebuild and the work began. What we couldn’t order from the factory, we made ourselves. Near the end of the project, Jack asked if we would install a player piano on his Baldwin grand. Now his piano is state of the art with a complete rebuild, refinish and player system. Just ask Jack if he loves his piano and you will get an enthusiastic, YES.
Don’t be discouraged by how rough a piano looks, if it was a fine instrument years ago, we can make it like new again.
